Police have arrested a man they say raped a woman in Brooklyn last week.

Officials say a tip led them to the the whereabouts of Kareem David, 28, who they say is homeless.

Sources say the 52-year-old woman was going to buy cigarettes on the morning of August 17 in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

They say David approached her from behind and allegedly threatened to shoot her if she didn't follow him.

He then forced her into a building on Lefferts Place, where police say he pushed his fingers down the woman's throat and assaulted her.

The woman lost two teeth in the attack.

David is now charged with first degree rape and assault.
