Police are investigating after a man falls to his death from a Manhattan balcony.
It happened around 2:30 a.m. Sunday.
Police say the 28-year-old was sitting on the railing of the sixth-floor balcony when he accidentally fell.
He hit his head on the balcony two floors down.
Officials pronounced him dead at the scene.
One man told us he heard a loud noise, but didn't think anything of it at the time.
"I did hear a crash in the middle of the night and I did hear sirens, but you always hear sirens. There were so many fireworks going off. I assumed it was fireworks. But I did hear an odd noise, but I'm not sure if that's what I heard," he said.
According to a security supervisor who didn't want to appear on camera, the victim was a guest and didn't live in the building.
Officials say they don't think there was any foul play involved.
