The huge cost of recovering from Hurricane Sandy continues to climb.
City, state, and FEMA officials say they've now confirmed 78 final agreements on public assistance projects for New York City and Long Island since 2013. The total cost comes in at $9.9 billion.
Just under $3 billion is going directly to the New York City Housing Authority, with a large portion going to fortifying buildings against future hurricanes.
