A judge ruled this week the city's Civilian Complaint Review Board must turn over the disciplinary records of an officer involved in the Eric Garner case.

The Legal Aid Society filed suit earlier this year to get its hands on the disciplinary record of Officer Daniel Pantaleo.

He is the officer seen in cell phone video putting Garner in a chokehold as police were arresting him for allegedly selling loose cigarettes.

The group says any prior civilian complaints or disciplinary action about Pantaleo is of public concern. A Manhattan judge agreed, making the ruling Wednesday.

Both sides are looking into whether or not the city can appeal.

There's no word on when the records might be released.
