The Canyon of Heroes is finally clean after all the debris, days after the U.S. Women's Soccer ticker-tape parade.

The city's Department of Sanitation says 29.6 tons of debris was removed after Friday's parade. That's slightly less than the 34 tons left over from the 2012 parade after the Giants' Super Bowl win, but not nearly close to the 57 tons used in the parade for Yankees' World Series celebration in 1999.

More than seven tons of paper was recycled from the women's soccer parade.

Four hundred sanitation workers were on call to clean up the event.
