Police in Brooklyn have arrested a woman they say was involved in a hit-and-run that killed a 93-year-old man.

Janice Vargas-Cruz, 40, is being charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death.

Police say she was in the car that hit Melwood Hughes.

Witnesses say Hughes had just moved his car on Albany Avenue in Crown Heights Tuesday morning when he was struck by a tractor trailer, then by a car allegedly driven by Cruz.

A surveillance photo from a nearby auto body shop shows the truck that hit Hughes. Police are still looking for the driver of the tractor trailer.

The above photo shows the car allegedly driven by Cruz that hit him and dragged him down the block.

Surveillance video shows a person alleged to be Cruz walking around and looking at Hughes before going back in the car and driving off.
