Some Queens bus riders will have a speedier commute coming soon.
The Q44 route is getting Select Bus Service by the fall.
Riders will pay fares from machines on the sidewalks before boarding the bus, and can enter from any door.
Buses will make fewer stops which will also help cut travel time.
The Q44 Select Bus route will run from Archer Avenue and Merrick Boulevard in Jamaica to East 180th Street in the Bronx.
