Exactly six months after his death, a Brooklyn street was renamed to honor an NYPD detective killed in the line of duty.

Ridgewood Avenue, between Shepherd Avenue and Highland Place in Cypress Hills, is now known as Detective Rafael Ramos Way. That's where Ramos and his family lived before he was killed.

Family members were joined by Mayor Bill de Blasio and Police Commissioner William Bratton for the ceremony.

Last weekend, a portion of West Sixth Street between Avenue S and Avenue T in Gravesend was named after Ramos' partner, Wenjian Liu.

Both detectives were fatally shot while sitting in their patrol car in December.
