Police have released new surveillance video of a man wanted in connection with an attack on a gay couple inside a Manhattan restaurant.

It happened at Dallas BBQ on Eighth Avenue in Chelsea Tuesday night.

Police say 32-year-old Jonathan Snipes got into a dispute with the man seen above, who was sitting nearby. Police say the man then started beating Snipes.

Twenty-five-year-old Ethan York-Adams tried to intervene. Another video shows the attacker hitting York-Adams with a chair.

Witnesses say the attacker also made anti-gay remarks.

Police say the incident is being investigated as a possible hate crime.

The victims suffered cuts and bruises, and were treated on the scene.

In a post on Facebook, Snipes said, "Ethan and I want to extend our most heartfelt thanks and gratitude to everyone for their support. We are in better spirits and believe that our assailants will be found and brought to justice."
