Google wants to inspire a new generation of tech entrepreneurs, so it's taking it to the streets with its Geek Street Fair.

From remote control robots to crane games, Google's free event in Chelsea encouraged kids to get interested in science with an afternoon filled with robotics and engineering.

The company says it wants people to know when it comes to tech, there's nothing to fear.

"Technology isn't scary. It isn't daunting. It's actually fun, and it's actually integrated into all sorts of things in their own environment," said William Floyd, head of external affairs at Google New York. "It's music, it's art, it's everywhere."

"Taking an idea in your head and actually bringing it to reality. That's really the best thing that engineering can really do for anybody," said Luca Scarano, a junior at the NYC College of Technology.

Google's next Geek Street Fair will be in Chicago this summer.
