A popular Manhattan bookstore is reopening at a new location a year after it closed.

Rizzoli Bookstore first opened in 1964 and had been operating from a location on 57th Street since 1985.

The shop closed last April when the building's owners moved forward with plans to demolish the building.

A campaign by supporters to have the building declared a historic landmark was unsuccessful.

The bookstore hopes to reopen before the summer at a new location on Broadway near 26th Street.
