Some taxi drivers are speaking out against a city police officer's treatment of an Uber driver.

The video was posted on YouTube and has now gone viral. It shows New York City police detective Patrick Cherry verbally abusing the driver.

Cherry was placed on modified duty and transferred, and in a statement, Police Commissioner William Bratton said the incident reflects poorly on the police department.

"While we appreciate that the NYPD took swift action on this one incident, for all the incidents that go unrecorded, we want action still," said Bhairavi Desai, executive director of the Taxi Workers Alliance.

The drivers say they want the city to pay more attention to crimes against drivers, not just ticket them.
