The Statue of Liberty is back open for business today, after it was evacuated over a false bomb threat made yesterday morning.

Around 11 a.m, the National Park Service says a 911 caller threatened to blow up the statue.

Visitors were immediately cleared from the statue, as police dogs swept the area.

Officials say the dogs went through an area of interest near the lockers at the base of the statue.

At that point, officials say they decided to evacuate the entire island.

Nearly 3,000 people were rushed off by boat.

Some vessels were even borrowed from nearby Ellis Island.

The National Park Service says no device was found during a thorough sweep of the island.

After the all-clear was given, visitors were allowed back on the island to retrieve belongings they didn't have time to grab.

The Parks Service says anyone who didn't go back to get their things should contact the United States Park Police at 646-356-2205, and request a supervisor.
