The Statue of Liberty will reopen Saturday after being evacuated due to a bomb threat Friday morning.

The U.S. National Parks Service said a 911 caller made a bomb threat against the landmark around 11 a.m.

United States Park Police searched the statue with canines, which zeroed in on the lockers at the base of the statue. At that point, the entire island was evacuated.

Vessels were used to transport nearly 3,000 people off of the island. Some vessels were even borrowed from nearby Ellis Island.

The National Park Service says no device was found during a thorough sweep of the island.

After the all-clear was given, visitors were allowed back on the island to retrieve belongings they didn't have time to grab.

The Parks Service says anyone who didn't go back to get their things should contact the United States Park Police at 646-356-2205, and request a supervisor.
