The window of an MTA bus was shattered in a shooting Monday afternoon in Manhattan that injured one person.

Authorities say the 21-year-old victim was shot in the right food on the sidewalk outside the Carver Houses in East Harlem.

Two stray bullets also hit an uptown M3 bus carrying 30 passengers on Madison Avenue.

Luckily, the bullets did not make it all the way through the bus's walls, so no passengers were injured.

One passenger NY1 spoke with said people were afraid for their lives.

"I didn't really recognize what it was, but other people on the bus did, so they began to react," the passenger said. "Everyone panicked. They all got very frightened and reacted in a frightened manner. Some fell, some screamed, but everybody wanted to exit."

Fire officials say the man who was shot in the foot was taken to NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in stable condition.
