A Westchester County bus driver is in the hospital after police say he was stabbed by a passenger in the Bronx.

Police say it happened around noon in the Norwood section.

The Transport Workers Union, which represents the driver, says a 33-year-old man got into a dispute with the driver after he wouldn't let him off the bus.

They say the driver, 50-year-old Ron Dingnan, wasn't supposed to stop in the Bronx.

The TWU says the suspect stabbed him in the stomach three times.

Dingnan is listed in stable condition at North Central Bronx Hospital.
