The latest snowstorm made a mess of things for commuters Thursday, and it only got worse as the day wore on. NY1's Roger Clark filed the following report.

At 5:30 a.m. it was a cold and lonely wait for the Q31 bus.

"I'm so tired of this weather," said one person waiting for the bus. "I don't know what.Sometimes, I get so fed up with it going to work."

Soon, she had company, but still no bus. Facing another wintry, snowy morning, commuters also were wondering when the warm weather finally will arrive.

"Cant wait for the summer," said one commuter. "This is too much. And besides that, the bus takes forever."

"The slush, the snow, the weather and everything, it's just crazy."

That bus did finally come, providing some relief from the elements.

But just after dawn, the snow intensified. It made for slippery streets and sidewalks, and even more folks huddled together trying to board a Q30, anticipating it might take a bit longer to get to their destinations.

"It's about an hour and a half commute," said one. "With the snow, it's probably like two hours."

After an extremely cold February, many commuters hoped that March would mean the end of a somewhat icy tunnel. But not yet.

Clark: Still a couple of weeks away from spring. Hopefully, things
    will start changing?
Commuter: If I could accelerate that, I would do it.

"I just came back from vacation not too long ago. I was at the beach," said another commuter. "Trust me. It's a thought that has been going through my mind every day."

Well, think about this: There are no assurances that this is the last we will see of the snow, although next week is supposed to be a little warmer.

But believe it or not, some folks don't mind this as much as others.

Commuter: I was born in this month, on a March day. Cold. I love
    it.
Clark: So you're not looking forward to spring?
Commuter: Oh yes I am, but one day at a time. I'm not going to rush it.

On the other hand, some bundled-up commuters had other travel plans in mind.

"I'm thinking about tropical countries right now," said one.

"I can't wait until spring break. That's what I'm counting on," said another.

"Spring is just a couple of weeks away, and before you know it, we'll be complaining about how hot it is. But for now, I think we're entitled to complain about the snow and the cold.
