Police have made an arrest in the Tuesday evening PATH train stabbing.

Port Authority police officers arrested a 43-year-old man from New Jersey early Wednesday, according to the Port Authority. He was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and assault.

Port Authority police say the man stabbed someone in the torso around 5:40 p.m. Tuesday.

They say the train just left the Manhattan 33rd Street station and was heading towards the 23rd Street stop when it happened.

The suspect ran away once the train pulled in.

The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital, but was expected to be OK.
