A retired NYPD detective vacationing in Puerto Rico died while heroically trying to save a boy from drowning.
The daughter of Jose Rosario posted to Facebook that her father along with her brother's friend were swept out to sea while swimming Saturday.
Anais Rosario says her father was able to save the boy, but Rosario was carried away by the currents.
Rosario posted that her father's body was found on Monday.
