Passover matzo rolls off the line at Streit's for the last time.

The company has been baking matzo at the same location on Manhattan's Lower East Side since 1925 and is the oldest mazo factory in America, but a changing neighborhood and rising rents has forced the company to move production to a more modern facility in Moonachie, New Jersey.

Matzo is an essential part of Jewish holiday celebrations, and many come from around the world to get their unleavened flatbread from Streit's especially.

While Streit's will soon shut down its Lower East Side factory, matzo will still be sold out of the neighborhood's retail store.

The factory produced more than 2.5 million pounds of matzo ahead of next month's Passover season and will see global distribution.
