The Metropolitan Transportation Authority targeted subway riders first and now it's reminding bus patrons to also mind their manners.

The new "Courtesy Counts" ad campaign encourages riders to be nice by offering seats to the elderly, disabled, or pregnant passengers.

Riders are also being asked to avoid putting their feet on seats, and withholding from using loud electronics.

MTA numbers show more than 2.5 million riders use city buses every day.

The courtesy placards will begin appearing inside the entire bus fleet this week.

The MTA rolled out a similar courtesy ad campaign on the subway earlier this year.
