The two American flags atop the Brooklyn Bridge that were heavily tattered by the wind have finally been retired.
The city Department of Transportation says they were replaced on Monday.
The flags had been badly damaged thanks to the brutal winter weather.
The DOT said it had to wait to make the swap because of the wind, snow and ice.
