The 15th annual "St. Pat's for All" Parade stepped off in Queens on Sunday afternoon.
Over the years, this event has become a political must-do for some, because of how it compares to another St. Patrick's parade in Manhattan.
Organizers bill the event as the most diverse St. Patrick's parade in the city, embracing all who want to march including LGBT groups.
The parade starts at 2 p.m., traveling along Skillman Avenue from 43rd Street in Sunnyside, and ending on 56th Street in Woodside.
This year's Grand Marshals are Kerry Kennedy, and Tony Award winning actor Brian F. O’Byrne.
Mayor de Blasio marched in the parade again this year.
Last year he became the first mayor in 20 years to skip the main St. Patrick's Day parade in Manhattan over policies dealing with LGBT groups.
The mayor has not said yet whether he will march in this year's parade on March 17.
