Fitness-minded New Yorkers are not letting the cold stop them from enjoying a morning run.

Braving single digit temperatures, some of the city's most dedicated runners hit the lanes at Central Park even in the early hours of the morning Tuesday.

One member of the New York Road Runners says with the proper equipment, there's no excuse not to get your cardio in, even in this weather.

"If you layer up properly, a good pair of gloves, sometimes two pairs of gloves, a nice hat -- I'm wearing six layers right now, wearing two pairs of tights, two pairs of socks.  So if you layer properly, usually you even get overheated.  But if you layer up, usually you're ok, as long as you get out of the cold as soon as you're done running," said one runner.
