Senator Charles Schumer is once again proposing legislation that would require rental companies to fix cars subject to a manufacturer's recall before renting them out.
On Friday, Schumer pointed out that car dealers are already required to repair vehicles subject to manufacturer recall before selling them.
He believes the same rules should also apply to rental companies.
This is not the first time Schumer has proposed this legislation.
He says now he has support from the U.S. Secretary of Transportation and manufacturer General Motors.
