Fireworks lit up the sky over the Hudson Tuesday in honor of the Lunar New Year, which begins Thursday.
The Grucci fireworks company put on the display to mark the Year of the Goat.
The fireworks launched from three barges near the Chinese consulate at 42nd Street and 12th Avenue.
Organizers said they want the display to rival Macy's annual July 4th fireworks show.
