Two employees of the Administration for Children's Services have been arrested as part of an ongoing investigation into the city's day care operators.

Lamont Morales, 44, faces bribery charges, and 43-year-old Bernadette Shuemake is charged with accepting unlawful gratuities.

The Department of Investigation says the two received money in return for processing paperwork to bypass ACS procedures for reimbursing the day care.

It says the man giving out the cash was Owen Larman.

Larman owned several Next to Home day cares. He was arrested last September after the department says he overbilled ACS by tens of thousands of dollars and ran sites that were visibly unsafe for the children who attended.
