Groundbreaking is set to begin on Staten Island's New York Wheel and shopping outlets in March.
A ceremony will be held at Richmond County Ball Park on March 10 for the groundbreaking of the New York Wheel and Empire Outlets.
The $230 million waterfront ferris wheel will bring riders 60 feet above the water.
Next to it, the Empire Outlets will be built.
The complex will boast 100 designer shops and a 190-room hotel.
The goal is to make Staten Island a destination for tourists.
