One of the borough's largest employers has decided to stay in the Rockaways after receiving some recovery money after Hurricane Sandy.
The Madelaine Chocolate Company got about $13 million, and says it will now not only stay, but it will also almost double it's workforce to about 223 people.
Founded in 1949, the chocolate company was devastated by the hurricane.
They did not reopen until the following summer.
