Police are investigating after a woman is found dead inside her Brooklyn apartment.
Police say they found 58-year-old Victoria Hammond lying unconscious on the floor of her living room Saturday around 9:30 p.m.
They say she had been stabbed in the chest and had a cut on her head.
Hammond was pronounced dead at the scene.
It happened near West 37th Street and Neptune Avenue in Coney Island.
Police have ruled her death a homicide.
