Water has been restored to most homes and businesses on the West Side following a water main break.
It happened last night on 48th Street between 11th Avenue and the West Side Highway.
The Department of Environmental Protection says people experienced loss of service or low water pressure.
The Office of Emergency Management says water was also reported in the basement of a nearby hotel.
One woman described what she saw when the water main first broke.
"Oh my God, there's water coming, but...and then it came, and it came, and it came. But the emergency crews got here and it was pretty cool," she said.
It's unclear what caused the water main break.
