The historic Loew's Kings Theater in Brooklyn is restored to its former glory.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held in Flatbush Friday to celebrate the theatre's $93 million renovation.

The landmark had been closed since 1977, with the city taking control in 1983 after its owner failed to pay taxes.

The legendary movie house and vaudeville stage was modeled after the Paris Opera House.

Officials said the opening marks a milestone for the neighborhood.

"The county of Kings has brushed off its crown jewel in the Loew's Kings Theatre," "And it's more than just a place to come and watch a show. It is the energy and spirit of Flatbush."

Diana Ross will headline the theatre's grand opening concert on February 3.
