According to its founder, Epic Players is a nonprofit, inclusive theater company here in the city.

They provide paid professional opportunities for performers living with developmental disabilities. This matters because, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, just 21% of people with a disability were employed.

To better understand what Epic Players is all about, “News All Day” was joined by their founder and executive director, Aubrie Therrien.

They offer 100 free classes for the 80 actors who are members. (They have a 20 person waitlist as well)

Upcoming shows include one this weekend at “54 Below” and in June, they’ll perform “Into the Woods.”
