Mayor Bill de Blasio plans to join protesters rallying against President-elect Trump's policies at a rally ahead of the inauguration.

He's expected to participate in a rally on Thursday in Manhattan, a day before the inauguration.

Reverend Al Sharpton, filmmaker Michael Moore, and actors Mark Ruffalo and Rosie Perez are also expected to be there.

Organizers say it's a kick-off event that's meant to encourage people to combat the President-elect on  issues like discrimination and climate change.

Protesters plan to meet at Trump International Hotel and Tower — a few blocks away from the President-elect's home at Trump Tower.
