Theatergoers are having a spring fling with the 1960s.

The off-Broadway musical 'Trip of Love' is a psychedelic trip down memory lane for flower children and hippies.

Actors say the colorful production is a hit with baby boomers who came of age during the turbulent decade.

"Kinda like a time machine being overwhelmed with everything  sixties — music, fashion and culture," said 'Trip of Love' actor Austin Miller.

"People of that time period they're in the audience — some are crying — clapping loud and get up and dance," said 'Trip of Love' actor Tara Palsha. "It's really interesting to look out into the audience and just to impact someone that lived through that time period."

Trip of Love opened last fall and is playing at Stage 42.
