American Heart Association Marks National Wear Red Day

NY1 VIDEO: The American Heart Association celebrated its National Wear Red Day on Friday, part of its National Go Red for Women initiative to end heart disease and stroke in women.  Statistics show more women than men die every year from heart disease and stroke, but with education and lifestyle changes, 80 percent of cardiac events can be prevented.

As Time Warner Cable News marks Fit Kids February, our own initiative to get kids moving and eating right, we spoke to Doctor Suzanne Steinbaum from the American Heart Association and Director of Women's Health at Lenox Hill Hospital.
