Hunter College is changing its sexual harassment policies after a federal investigation finds the school violated Title IX.

An investigation by the U.S. Department of Education found Hunter College failed to promptly and fairly address a student complaint of sexual harassment by a professor.

Under the agreement, Hunter will re-examine all sexual harassment complaints filed over the last three years and revise its procedures for dealing with sexual harassment cases.

In the settlement, the school does not admit to any liability.

A statement released Tuesday says, in part, "Hunter College and CUNY have always been committed to maintaining a campus environment free from discrimination, intimidation, or violence of any sort...Hunter College and CUNY will continue to work diligently to comply with Title IX rules."
