The city has won a big chunk of federal funding to help school districts integrate.

The U.S. Department of Education awarded a total of $91 million in magnet grants to nine school districts in five states.

Districts 14 and 22 in Brooklyn and Districts 27 and 30 in Queens will each receive a grant of $10.5 million to $11.6 million.

Officials say the awards will help schools create or expand magnet programs that will attract a diverse group of students.

The grants provide funding to districts for three-year projects.
