New numbers find that city schools deemed persistently dangerous have fallen to record lows.

The annual Department of Education report shows that four schools in the city made the list for the 2016-2017 school year — down from 27 last year.

That's an 85 percent drop.

A school is called persistently dangerous if it has 60 reported serious incidents for two consecutive years.

The schools that are now on the list are: PS 111 in Long Island City, Queens, PS 207 in the Bronx, PS 213 in New Lots, Brooklyn, and PS 306 also in Brooklyn.

Schools Chancellor Carmen Fariña credits additional training and support for staff and students for the drop.
