A Harlem elementary school teacher is facing charges — accused of assaulting one of his students.
Investigators say Osman Couey abused 6-year-old Ka'veon Wilson at PS 194 in December.
The 53-year-old is charged with assault and acting in a manner injurious to a child under 16.
Wilson's parents say the boy suffered severe injuries and had to be taken to the hospital.
According to the Department of Education, Couey had been involved in four similar incidents in the past, but just received letters to his file in those cases.
He's been reassigned as the investigation continues.
