New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman on Monday fired yet another salvo at Donald Trump, writing a cease-and-desist letter calling on his company’s charitable arm to halt fundraising in New York.

In the letter, Schneiderman points to the Trump Foundation failing to register with the Charities Bureau and not providing annual reporters or audited statements.

The letter comes as the Trump Foundation has come under scrutiny during the campaign for its record of giving and fundraising activities that, based on reporting largely by The Washington Post, show has sometimes benefited the nominee himself.

The letter from Schneiderman calls on the Trump Foundation to end soliciting contributions in the state and notify third party organizations raising money for the charity to halt those activities as well.

The cease-and-desist letter is the latest legal maneuver by Schneiderman against Trump’s non-candidate activities. Schneiderman’s office sued the New York businessman over his for-profit college, Trump University, which the attorney general and plaintiffs alleged scammed students out of their money and offered little of what was actually promised.
