Donald Trump will travel to Mexico today to meet with the country's president.

The Republican presidential nominee will then deliver a major immigration policy speech in Phoenix tonight.

Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto has criticized Trump for his proposal to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, and his insistence that Mexico pay for it.

At a rally in Washington State Tuesday night, Trump said he would secure the borders and slammed Hillary Clinton for her stance on refugees.

"We are going to stop the Syrian refugees from entering the United States and instead build a safe zone overseas," Trump said. "Amazingly Hillary Clinton wants a 550 percent increase in Syrian refugees coming into our country."

Meanwhile, Trump's running mate Mike Pence held a rally in North Carolina.

Pence attacked Democrat Hillary Clinton over her use of a private e-mail server while Secretary of State.
