Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is accusing rival Hillary Clinton of "trying to rig" their upcoming debates.

Trump claims Clinton and the Democrats scheduled two of the debates the same nights as NFL games in order to draw a smaller audience.

But the non-partisan Commission on Presidential Debates says it picked the dates nearly a year ago, and that it did not consult with any political parties or campaigns about the scheduling process.

Trump also says he received a note from the NFL regarding the conflict, but the league denies sending anything to him.

Clinton has vowed to take part in every debate.

The first debate is set for September 26 at Hofstra University on Long Island.

The second debate will take place October 9 at Washington University in St. Louis.

The final debate is scheduled for October 19 at the University of Nevada in Las Vegas.
