Former Mayor Michael Bloomberg appears to have really gotten under Donald Trump's skin. For the second straight day, Trump is lashing out the billionaire, calling him "little" and "a disaster." Michael Scotto filed the following report.
Donald Trump just couldn't control his fingers.
On Twitter, the reality TV star-turned-politician unleashed a torrent of insults at former Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who called Trump a "con" during a speech to the Democratic Convention.
"Little" Michael Bloomberg, who never had the guts to run for president, knows nothing about me. His last term as Mayor was a disaster!

Several minutes later, he added:
If Michael Bloomberg ran again for Mayor of New York, he wouldn't get 10% of the vote - they would run him out of town! #NeverHillary

It all left little doubt as to whom Trump was referencing during a speech late Thursday afternoon.
"I was going to hit one guy in particular, a very little guy, I was going to hit this guy so hard, his head would spin. He wouldn't know what the hell happened," Trump said.
Bloomberg's team responded with a series of its own tweets, pointing out that Trump once had high praise for Bloomberg.

Mike Bloomberg is doing a great job as Mayor of New York City. Ray Kelly is a great Police Commissioner. @MikeBloomberg

Ironically, as Trump was having his Twitter tantrum, his running mate, Indiana Governor Mike Pence, was on the radio criticizing President Barack Obama for calling Trump a homegrown demagogue.
"I don’t think name calling has any place in public life," Pence said.
At a rally in Colorado Friday afternoon, though, Trump was doing plenty of trash-talking. Among the things he said:
- "I'm going to hit them. Now, obviously, I'm talking about with my verbal."
- "I'm running against a crooked person. I'm running against a dishonest person."
- "Trump is going to be no more Mr. Nice Guy."
- "I think I have the best temperament, or certainly one of the best temperaments, of anybody who has ever run for the office of president."
