President Obama is scheduled to come to the city later Wednesday, but he is holding off on officially endorsing a candidate for president.

Obama is expected to arrive at JFK Airport around 3 p.m., and is slated later to tape an appearance on "The Tonight Show" with Jimmy Fallon.

After that, he is expected to attend a pair of Democratic Party events in Manhattan.

The White House issued a statement saying in part, "The President congratulated both candidates for running inspiring campaigns that have energized Democrats, brought a new generation of Americans into the political process, and shined a spotlight on important policy ideas."
