Police made another arrest in the case of a former aide to Governor Cuomo who was shot to death in Brooklyn last year.

According to multiple reports, NYPD detectives, U.S. Marshals and local police arrested Kenny Bazile Thursday in Southern California.

Bazile is the fifth person arrested in connection with Carey Gabay's killing.

Investigators say Gabay got caught in the crossfire of a gun battle between rival gangs during the J'Ouvert festivities before the West Indian Day parade last September.

Micah Alleyne, Tyshawn Crawford and Keith Luncheon are all charged with murder in the case.

Another man is charged with having a machine gun at the scene.

The NYPD has announced extra security measures for the J'Ouvert event on Monday, including doubling the usual number of officers on the scene.
