The man arrested in the stabbing of his girlfriend and her three children at a Staten Island hotel pleaded not guilty to charges including murder and attempted murder on Sunday.

Michael Sykes, 23, was arraigned Sunday in criminal court on Staten Island.

Cops arrested Sykes on Saturday at a friend’s home in Woodside, Queens.

Investigators say he fatally stabbed 26-year-old Rebecca Cutler, their four-month-old daughter and her one-year-old daughter.

It happened at the Ramada Inn in Willowbrook on Wednesday.

Cops say Cutler was stabbed more than 40 times, and the three children were stabbed more than five times each.

Cutler's 2-year-old, seen here, is still in critical condition.

Cutler and her children were staying at the hotel as part of a city housing program for the homeless.

Sykes was remanded and due back in court Tuesday.

Mayor de Blasio issued a statement Saturday reacting to the arrest saying in part quote:

"Thanks goes to the hardworking officers of the NYPD for bringing Mr. Sykes into custody. The judicial process can now begin to run its course. I hope the family members of the young mother and her small children can find some amount of closure in knowing he has been apprehended."
