The convicted Rochester drug dealer who sold a dose of heroin that killed a Gates woman is headed to state prison.

Dominic Hobbs, 32, was ordered to spend the next two years in prison, but no more than four as part of a previously agreed upon plea deal.

Hobbs admitted last month in State Supreme Court that he sold drugs to 41-year-old Tara Miles back in April. She was later found dead inside her home from an overdose.

Her death was kept a secret while undercover officers set up another drug deal in which they say Hobbs sold them cocaine and heroin.
