A 24-year-old from Hungary was sentenced in Orange County Court Thursday over a fatal March crash in the town of Cornwall.

The county DA's Office says Andras Geiger will spend three to nine years on a second-degree manslaughter charge.

Geiger pleaded guilty in October, after the crash left his passenger dead, and hospitalized Geiger for months.

In October, he admitted to speeding on Pleasant Hill Road.

Police say he was going more than 90 miles per hour before he left the road and hit a guardrail.

Authorities say his blood alcohol content was .07 of one percent, and he had marijuana in his system.
