ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A receptionist at a Rochester charter school was fired after accusations of sexual misconduct.

Perry White, the co-founder of Vertus High School, an all-boys charter school in Rochester, says that the receptionist, Kristal Lowry, had a sexual relationship with a student who is of the age of consent. White also says the woman sent inappropriate messages on Facebook to several students dating back to this past summer.

Lowry started working at Vertus in January of 2017, for which she underwent a thorough background check, according to school officials.

The school has reported their information to the police and the child abuse hotline.
